I will probably buy the PHB just to look through it, but I don't ever envision myself playing a d20-based game again (unless the system is significantly different from what D&D is now). But I have played D&D and enjoyed it in the past, and I'm interested in its evolution, if nothing else.
Lately, since I've ventured into White Wolf's d10 territory in the past couple of years, I've come to realize that there are an awful lot of things I just HATE about D&D's system (items, xp, classes, skills, etc).
Not to say WW's stuff is perfect by any means, but there is very little I dislike about their nWoD system, as it is very simple and straightforward (the power-level inequality of the PC supernatural "races" aside...). oWoD on the other hand was rather unwieldly in a lot of ways, and their math was questionable (for the die pools and die rolling).

Ah well. Not excited, just interested.
