Holidays are over and things are finally returning to normal. Whether this is a good or bad depends largely on your perspective. Me, I'm going with "Meh."

The Holiday cards were sent out the second week of December. I sent out 15 cards and received a total of 2. Interesting.

The 1994 Sunbird is currently out of my garage and in my brother's now. It desperately needs a new radiator. The question is is it worth putting a new one in the thing?

I'm finally rid of that stinky gray chair I've been trying to get out of here for atleast three years. It was a recliner but that no longer worked because it had a few bolts that had sheared. Once it was gone I found a couple cleaved off bolt heads where it had sat.

I didn't get much reading done over the past month. I'm hoping to have time to do more reading this month. We'll see.

I continue to have sinus problems which suspiciously go away when I spend enough time away from this house.

holiday cards have never been my strongsuit :( I have a tendency to lose track of what day it is.

94 Sunbird, new radiator...probably $500 or more to pay someone else to do it. Are you planning on selling the vehicle? Is it driveable as is, or does the old radiator leak too much for even that?

I'd say if it's driveable, just leaking slowly, sell as-is. If the leak is bad, get the new radiator put in (or maybe the old one soldered and fixed, if you can find a place that will do so).

Lastly, if *you* haven't read A. Lee Martinez's stuff, I highly recommend "Too Many Curses" and "The Automatic Detective". And maybe more. Still reading :)

I had a 1994 Sunbird convertible once upon a time. Was a good car, for a time. After replacing the transmission, I don't think I had any other problems with it before I traded it. Ah well.

Re: sinus problems
Dust and/or mildew maybe? If you don't have any pets, that is. If I stay at home too long (as in, several days of not going to work, etc) I get a sinus infection. I tend to blame the cats, but I know the dust does it to me too, since I get one every time I have to clean/move my office at work.

The radiator will need to be replaced. We're in large clouds of steam billowing forth territory. Will ask my brother about maybe having it soldered and fixed but I'm really not sure if that'd be cheaper. We priced a new radiator for it at around $200, I think.

I'll be sure to take a look at those books. It looks like they're both available for the Kindle.

It's probably dust. I'm not ruling out mold and mildew but the tests I did last year were negative. The house has a bare earth crawl space which is probably part of the problem. Never did do a mold test under there.
