Coming to the end of the notebook

As some of you know for decades I've carried a notebook for jotting ideas, logging various things and what not. I'm coming up on the last page of the hardback 256 page journal book I've been using since 2004. I've been trying to move away from paper of late and I find myself trying to decide what I'll be replacing it with. Do I want to get another blank book and keep at it with pen on paper or do I want to go higher tech with a PDA or something. Decisions, decisions. Right now it looks like my choices are pretty much iPAQ or netbook if I want something electronic.

So I pose the question, what do you guys use these days?

iPhone. My fingers are too fat and clumsy to type perfectly on it. The autocorrect is right more often than it screws up tho.

Email, notes, calc, camera, web browsing, lj, and games for only $85/mo. Plus the phone.

Yeah, kinda steep.

The service for those is $85 a month? Ouch.

Um, I still use spiral bound notebooks. Sorry, no help.

Hey, it's always nice to know people are still using the tried and true methods. :) I haven't used spiral-bound notebooks since the 80s. I switched to hardbound notebooks mainly for durability and they're friendlier for lefties like me.
